Inclusivity Club
The GSA is a student run club that offers a safe space to socialize, support, discuss and educate regarding social equity issues. We are dedicated to promoting an inclusive club working to end discrimination and bullying of all types.
What We Do
Our primary objectives include bi-monthly meetings dedicated to discussing current social issues, finding ways to interact with the world in a productive and inclusive manner. We also participate in various local events, including Pride month. Visit the link below to learn more!
"Safe Space" Initiative
We have recently started promoting our "Safe Space" initiative, which aims to recognize specific Grissom teachers for their dedication to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. When a teacher is selected in this program, they receive a poster which they can display anywhere they'd like in their classroom. Each teacher is selected following a careful vetting process by our president and vice presidents.
We hope that this program will help Grissom's queer community find the support they need during these difficult times. If there are any teachers you believe should be part of this program, or if there is one you think should be removed, please let a member of our leadership know.
